Ibrahim Thiaw specifically highlighted the 21st session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (CRIC21), which recently took place in Samarkand. He noted that various pertinent issues were discussed during the conference, as well as the effective desertification control reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.
