In accordance with the Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the amount of fines is increasing for illegally cutting down, damaging, destroying, or transferring to another place trees and bushes, other plants, and seedlings.

In addition, in the case of repeated offenses within a year after the application of the administrative penalty, measures of administrative detention for a period of up to fifteen days are set.

At the same time, administrative liability is now introduced for the preparation of project documents that lead to the cutting, felling, damage, or destruction of valuable species of trees and shrubs.

Also, administrative responsibility for illegal cutting of trees or logging is defined in 4 articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. Taking into account the existence of different amounts of fines and disparities in these articles for the same administrative offense, it is envisaged to establish the same responsibility for one type of administrative offense in one article through changes.

It should be noted that the adoption of this Law is aimed at preventing administrative offenses related to the illegal cutting, logging, damaging, or destruction of trees and shrubs, increasing the responsibility of individuals and legal entities in this regard, as well as serving the prevention of crimes and the effective organization of state environmental control.
