This day was included in the international calendar at the suggestion of the International Society for Animal Rights (ISAR). Animal protection is an activity aimed at improving the care and treatment of animals and preventing cruelty to animals.

The public organization “Ezgulik va mehr-muruvvat” opened a shelter for homeless animals in the Tashkent region. Such a good attitude towards our “smaller brothers” can be explained by an increase in the cultural and material level of our citizens, and an increased sense of kindness in them. Unfortunately, in our country there is not yet a Law on the Protection of Animals from Cruelty and there is generally no administrative responsibility for cruelty to animals. But this is for now; over time, such a law will be adopted and responsibility will be established.
