The chairman of the mahalla who allowed the felling of trees has been fined

The Kuvassai City department of the Fergana Region Ecology Department, together with the National Guard, conducted another raid.

During the raid, it was established that a resident of the "Cholpon" mahalla in Kuvassai, T.D., orally requested permission from the chairman of the mahalla to cut down two willow trees because they were obstructing the installation of a gas pipeline in front of their residential house. After receiving approval, the trees were unlawfully felled.

For reference, Article 79 of the Administrative Code imposes liability for the unauthorized felling, uprooting, damage, destruction, or transplantation of trees, shrubs, other plants, and young plants.

It was established that as a result of the violation, damage in the amount of 11 million 55 thousand soums was caused. In accordance with Part 1 of Article 79 of the Administrative Code, the mahalla chairman, S.K., was fined in the amount of 10 BRV (3,300,000 soum).

In total, the chairman will pay compensation in the amount of 14,355,000 soum for their actions.
