In order to effectively address local, regional, and global environmental issues, strengthen regional cooperation in the field of ecology and environmental protection, and implement innovative ideas, practices, and technologies to realize Uzbekistan's scientific and intellectual potential in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 31, 2023, No. UP-81 and the Resolution of the head of state dated May 31, 2023, No. PP-174, the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Central Asian Green University) was established.

The educational process at the University is planned to be carried out in cooperation with prestigious foreign universities. Graduates of Central Asian Green University will be included in the National Talent Pool, acquiring five years of work experience, and will be listed as promising candidates appointed to managerial positions in their respective fields.

The university's educational process will be based on a credit-modular system, and instruction is planned to be conducted in English. 
The curriculum is based on the most effective system used in global practice: in the first year, students will study in the Foundation Year program, and in the following three years, they will pursue a Bachelor's Degree program. For those who wish to continue their education, admission to the Master's program is available.

Bachelor's degree programs include:
- Environmental and Sustainable Management
- Ecology and Economics
- Ecology and Public Administration

Master's degree programs include:
- Environmental Law
- Environmental Journalism
- Sustainable Development
- Sustainable Finance

Each year, a minimum of 25 grant places are allocated for citizens of Central Asian countries to study in bachelor's degree programs, as well as a minimum of 20 grant places for master's and doctoral (PhD) programs, in accordance with the procedures and conditions determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Starting from September 1, 2023, a scholarship from the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change is established for the most talented students of the Central Asian Green University.

Located in the Dendropark in the Tashkent region, the Central Asian Green University offers students a picturesque campus environment with greenery and recreational areas. The Sculpture Park of the Central Asian Green University, created on the adjacent territory, serves as a unique showcase of the campus, combining art, science, and nature.
