The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change conducts biotechnical work on nature reserves (protected areas) to preserve biodiversity and improve conditions for the life of wild animals. The aim of the activities is to protect animals from winter cold, provide them with drinking water and food.

Currently, biotechnical activities are taking place in several nature reserves in the country, including the Zarafshan National Nature Park in the Samarkand region, the Zaamin State Reserve in the Jizzakh region, and the «Yukori-Tupalang»National Park in the Surkhandarya region. Employees of the Lower Amudarya State Biosphere Reserve are also conducting biotechnical work to provide Bukhara deer on the territory of the protected area with additional feed in winter conditions.

For reference: Previously, such activities were conducted in the Surkhan and Kyzylkum reserves.

In particular, in the Zarafshan reserve, work has been carried out in the territory of the first quarter to improve conditions for Bukhara deer. In turn, in the Zaamin Nature Park, reserve staff conducted biotechnical activities to protect, preserve, and reproduce the animals' habitat, which is necessary for their safe descent in search of food during the winter period in snowy conditions.

Furthermore, in the Andijan region, the Regional Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, in collaboration with the Patrol and Post Service of the Department of Public Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, and the regional branch of the Sports Association of Hunters and Fishermen of Uzbekistan, organized a biotechnical event to rescue wild animals and provide them with food.
