The Department of Ecology of Surkhandarya Region carried out an inspection at the asphalt production enterprises "Boysun tuman yillardan foydalanish" and "Sherobod tuman yillardan foydalanish korkhonasi".

During the inspection, it was found that the dust and gas cleaning equipment at the Baysun enterprise had become unusable, and dust-collecting filters and water cabins (equipment that captures dust by spraying water) were not installed.

At the Sherabad enterprise, due to the deterioration of dust and gas cleaning equipment, harmful emissions above the norm were released into the atmosphere.

For information: On January 29 of this year, a video conference was held under the chairmanship of the head of state, during which the task was set by the end of this year at large industrial enterprises to install modern dust and gas cleaning equipment and replace old equipment with high dust emissions, as well as to update filters.

The enterprises "Boysun tuman yillardan foydalanish" and "Sherobod tuman yillardan foydalanish korkhonasi" violated the requirements of articles 4–24 of the Law "On the Protection of Atmospheric Air". In this regard, administrative protocols have been drawn up for enterprises by Article 86 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The activities of the enterprises have been suspended for 10 days until the identified deficiencies are eliminated and the filter equipment is installed.
