About 5,000 saplings of saxaul were planted on an area of 11,377 hectares in the "Jeyran" nursery of the Bukhara region.

The organizers of the event within the framework of the "Yashil Vatan Uchun" project were the Department of Ecology of the Bukhara region, the Forestry Department, the Regional Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the Regional Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, and the khokimiyat of Karaulbazar district.

The event was attended by about 200 students from five state universities in the region.

It should be noted that in the spring of 2024, more than 9 million trees are planned to be planted in the Bukhara region as part of the nationwide Yashil Makon project. At the moment, about 6 million tree seedlings have been planted.
