The working group of the Surkhandarya Ecology Management continues to investigate the activities of the state forestry enterprise "Bobotog". During the investigation, a number of violations of legislation related to the damage to Tajik Ferula were revealed.
In particular, on plot 1-A of the 2nd quarter of the "Faizova" forest department of the state forestry enterprise "Bobotog", sap was collected from 893 endangered Tajik Ferula plants (2-3 times), and 163 of these plants were covered with cardboard to collect sap. As a result, the plant world suffered damage worth 442 million, 35 thousand soums.
Also, on plot 5 of the 6th quarter of the "Faizova" forest department, sap was extracted from 830 Tajik Ferula plants 5–6 times by cutting off their leaves. As a result, the plant world suffered damage worth 410 million, 850 thousand soums.
In addition, in the 1st district of the 2nd block of the "Uzles" massif of the same forestry, 87 Tajik ferula bushes were cut in order to obtain juice and 218 were covered with cardboard. As a result, the plant world suffered damaged for 43 million 65 thousand soums.
To establish a legal assessment of this situation, identify those responsible and take lawful measures, the collected documents are being prepared for submission to the prosecutor's office.
It should be noted that in order to prevent the disappearance and ensure reproduction of the Tajik Ferula listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan, a moratorium has been imposed on this plant.
