A photograph of Uzbekistan's natural heritage was among the finalists of the International Photo Contest Wiki Loves Earth (WLE).

The results of the WLE competition, organized for the first time in Uzbekistan by the Uzbek-speaking Wikimedia Group in collaboration with the Russian Wikiguide community with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, have been announced.

In the first stage of the competition in October of this year, residents of Uzbekistan submitted nearly 4,000 nature photographs from our country. Among them, 3,279 photographs were selected for participation in the competition, and in the second stage of the competition, the local jury selected only 10 works by 6 authors for the international round.

In the final of the competition, out of thousands of photographs submitted from around the world, foreign experts selected 10 works in two categories, including a photograph of the Koksu mountain river in the Tashkent region near the village of Burchmulla.

The author of the work is a well-known travel blogger and photographer, Marat Nadjibaev.
