From January 23 to 31 of this year, the Ministry of Ecology inspected the operation of the "Tashkent Thermal Power Plant" (TPP) located in the village of Salar in the Kibray district of the Tashkent region.

During the inspection, it was established that gas is used as the main fuel at the enterprise, while fuel oil is used as a backup, and therefore smog covered the capital.

According to the results of the investigation of the "Tashkent TPP", compensation in the amount of 1 billion 23 million sums (759 million for environmental pollution, 264 million for soil pollution with petroleum products) was appointed.

In addition, the TPP was given mandatory instructions at 16 points to eliminate the identified shortcomings.

At the moment, the collected documents are being sent to the judicial authorities to take appropriate measures against TPP officials responsible for the offense.
