Within the framework of the Yashil Makon (Green Space) project, initiated by the head of our state and which has become a tradition, tree seedlings are planted annually on the territory of the republic.

In particular, in 2023, "green gardens" were created in all regions by the State Unitary Enterprise "Yashil Hudud" of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.

Specifically, they were created on an area of 46.7 hectares of land in 16 districts and cities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 36.2 hectares in 13 districts and cities of the Andijan region, 7.8 hectares in 5 districts and cities of the Bukhara region, 23.1 hectares in 11 districts and cities of the Jizzakh region, and 26.1 hectares in 11 districts and cities in the Kashkadarya region.

Also, "green gardens" were created on an area of 19.2 hectares – in 8 districts and cities of the Navoi region, 25.2 hectares – in 14 districts and cities of the Namangan region, 28.4 hectares – in 7 districts and cities of the Samarkand region, 21.4 hectares – in 8 districts and cities of the Syrdarya region, 17.8 hectares – in 9 districts and cities the Surkhandarya region, 26.3 ha – in 10 districts and cities of the Tashkent region, 34.6 ha – in 12 districts and cities of the Ferghana region, 34.7 ha – 44,000 seedlings of ornamental trees were planted in 10 districts and cities of the Khorezm region, as well as in the Zaamin district of the Jizzakh region and a "green garden" with an area of 110 hectares was created.

In addition, together with the Zamin International Public Foundation, within the framework of the Green Earth project, 4,659 trees were planted in 3 plots in the Yangikhayot and Chilanzar districts of Tashkent in the spring planting season of 2023. In the autumn season, 2,550 seedlings of ornamental and fruit trees adapted to the climatic conditions of the region were planted in Almazar and Yangikhaet districts.In addition, in cooperation with ministries and banks, more than 77 thousand almond tree seedlings were planted on 162 hectares of mountainous and foothill territories in the Bostanlyk district.

For information, within the framework of the Yashil Makon project, more than 1,200 hectares of "green gardens" and public parks, as well as more than 1 million hectares of green spaces and sidewalks, have been built. About 500 million trees were planted as part of the project, of which more than 200 million were planted in 2023.
