At the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a delegation of the American company SAYAR LLC visited the Samarkand region.

During the visit, representatives of the foreign company visited several medical institutions in the region and got acquainted with the storage conditions, composition, quantity, and condition of medical waste. Attention was also paid to the issue of medical waste recycling. In particular, the possibility of producing thermal energy through thermal waste disposal was discussed.

Following the visit, was reached an agreement with the American company on comprehensive cooperation in this direction.

It is worth noting that the processing of medical waste will be started in a test mode in the city of Tashkent and the Samarkand region. At the same time, special filters will be used to prevent harmful emissions into the atmosphere, and the thermal energy obtained as a result of waste processing will be used to heat hospitals.
