On April 13, the competition for environmental knowledge—the intellectual game "Eco-Zakovat"—took place in the Central Tashkent Ecopark named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
The event was organized by the calendar plan for the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 31, 2023, No. 171, "On measures for the effective organization of the activities of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change", on the occasion of April 15—Environmental Knowledge Day.
The intellectual competition, initiated by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and the "Zakovat" Intellectual Club, was attended by students from 12 higher educational institutions. In the game, the participants demonstrated their knowledge and ability to make quick decisions by answering 24 prepared questions about ecology.
According to the results of the game, the 1st place was taken by the team - "Kimyogarlar", the 2nd place was "Staticfacion" and the 3rd place was "Ecofaollar". The winners and prize-winners were awarded with valuable gifts.

The history of the holiday dates back to 1992, when at the UN Conference in Rio de Janeiro, where environmental problems were discussed, the great importance of environmental education for the population of all countries in the world in the implementation of a survival strategy and for the sustainable development of mankind was emphasized.
